In Memoriam Rudi Hundstorfer, former President of the Austrian trade union GdG

(21 August 2019) It is with deep sadness that we learned that Rudi Hundstorfer died in the morning hours of Monday 20 August 2019. Rudi was the President of the Austrian affiliate GdG (now Younion) and later became the President of the Confederation OGB and Minister of Social Affairs. Rudi was active in the Executive Committee of EPSU and was a true friend of the European public service trade union movement.  Rudi campaigned for workers’ rights and lived solidarity with workers at home and in other countries. Our thoughts are for his family, his friends and his comrades in the Austrian trade union movement. He will be missed but not forgotten.
