Kickstart meeting for EPSU Congress 2019

EPSU Constitution Working group meeting 31 January 2018

(1st February 2018) The Congress resolution committee (CRC) and the Constitution Working Group (CWG) met today (01.02.2018) and yesterday (31.01.2018) in Brussels with the representatives from the constituencies to discuss the upcoming congress in Dublin in June 2019.

This kick-starts the political process of the 10th European Public Service Union congress. The context of this congress is 10 years of austerity with a huge burden on public services and the working conditions of public sector workers across Europe.

EPSU brings together trade unions and represents 8 million public service workers across Europe.

The congress is a high moment of taking stock for the future of public sector workers the future of public sectors and the future of work.

Issues such as digitalisation, re-municipalisation, privatisation or public spending will be high in the agenda.

Through out 2019 the EPSU executive committee alongside the standing committees will be thoroughly discussing all the issues listed above as well as many others in order to come up with a programme of action for the future.
