Turkish trade unionist set free

28 November 2018 FP CGIL Congress solidarity with Turkish trade unionists

(29 November 2018) The comrades which were arrested Monday morning have now been released following the European and global outcry. This followed the arbitrary arrest of several leaders of unions affiliated with EPSU/PSI. The arrests were an attempt to intimidate and harass the outspoken and critical trade unionists which oppose the government of President Erdogan. EPSU, PSI and several other unions and organisations immediately wrote to European and Turkish authorities asking for the immediate release.
