Health and Social Services, Social Dialogue
On 20 September 2006, after six years of preparation, EPSU (the European Federation of Public Service Unions) and HOSPEEM (the European Hospital and Healthcare Employers’ Association) launched the Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee for the Hospital Sector (SSDC HS). 2016 marks the 10th anniversary of this committee and the sectoral social dialogue for the health care sector at EU-level.

EPSU Working Paper Social Services and Social Dialogue
EPSU affiliates from the sectors "health and social services" and "local and regional government" have agreed to common guidelines for EPSU members in view of the development of social dialogue at EU-level with relevant and representative employers‘ organisations.

Promoting Social Dialogue in Health Care in Bulgaria
On 2 June 2017 the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Bulgaria, together with , organised a Discussion Forum in Sofia to identify and address the challenges for effective social dialogue in Bulgaria. EPSU and HOSPEEM contributed to the exchange in highlighting the role and illustrating main outcomes of the the EU-level social dialogue in the hospital sector.
Hospital Social Partners "Working together, learning together - Switching to the learning mode"
On 19 and 20 June 2017, HOSPEEM and EPSU organised the conference “Working together, learning together – Switching to the learning mode” in Amsterdam to deepen their thematic work on continuing professional development (CPD) and life-long learning (LLL).

The meeting primarily dealt with the topics "Challenges and impacts of the provision of social services by private providers", "New forms/models of care and their effects on the provision of services, their quality and the workforce", "EU-level standardisation in health and elderly care services" and "Promotion of social dialogue in the field of social services".
