HEALTH & SAFETY – Preventing risk to young workers

(22 October, 2009, Brussels) Recognising the specific vulnerability of young workers, the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) has produced a report about how their occupational safety and health can be managed at policy and practice level.

The report ‘Preventing risks to young workers: policy, programmes and workplace practices’, includes a variety of case studies and identifies some success factors for prevention. It also includes a summary of EU legislation on preventing risks to young workers and an overview of Member State legislation and guidance.
