Unions welcome new labour code

The KOZ trade union confederation has welcomed the new labour code introduced by the government elected in March 2012. The code reverses most of the changes introduced by the previous government which were mainly aimed at reducing job security and redundancy rights. The changes had been in line with developments in other parts of Central and Eastern Europe but the new code marks a shift back to greater protection for individual workers.
