Trade union movement raises concerns about the Labour Law in Ukraine

Protest in Ukraine

(17 December 2019) The Ukrainian government continues to push for a reform of the labour law without involving the trade unions. Ukrainian trade unions are organising protests as the government is seeking weakening of workers’ protection, 17 December. EPSU has sent letters to the Ukrainian government demanding that the government discusses and negotiates with the unions. The ETUC Executive Committee and the Pan-European Regional Council of the ITUC adopted positions. A mission to the Ukraine is being organised in support of the trade unions.
