Workers in the EDP and REN energy companies will see their pay rise by at least 2.79% this year, although this is slightly below the latest increase in consumer prices (2.9%). They will also receive a €165 lump sum payment as long as they have at least six months' service.

Workers in energy production and supply companies are set to get a 2.0% pay increase from 1 May following an improved pay offer from the employers (up from 1.25%). The agreement runs from 1 October 2020 to 30 April 2022 and includes a one-off payment of €400 gross for all employees who have been continuously employed in the sector since January 2020. Meanwhile, the FNV trade union reports positive initial talks in the energy network sector where negotiations were due to start on 29 April.
After two rounds of negotiations unions secured a 1.6% pay increase on the lowest pay rates for the 18,000 workers in the electricity industry. Increases on higher pay rates varied between 1.45% and 1.55%. The agreement runs from 1 February 2010 to 31 January 2011. Read more at > GPA-DJP (DE)
The fourth round of bargaining at the Uniper energy company ended with the signing of a new two-year agreement backdated to 1 January 2019. The 5000 employees will get an initial increase of 2.4% followed by a further 3.2% in December. Apprentice payments will increase by 15.5%. Energy union ver.di is pleased with the deal which it says would not have been possible without the mobilisation of workers and warning strikes.
