Opportunities for motivated stagiaires in EPSU

Are you still studying and want to complement your learning and knowledge with a practical and enriching experience working for one of Europe’s largest trade union federations ? Are you motivated to work for a trade union and contribute to advancing workers’ rights, promoting and defending public services in Europe especially in these challenging times ? We might just have the ideal stage for you.

We can use your analytical skills, hard work and energy. Our stagiaires have worked on analysing Europe’s austerity policies, contributed to health and safety policy/positions, the European Citizens Initiative Right2Water, worked on background documents for our policy makers, participated in demonstrations and other actions, attended meetings with employers, social movements, European Commission and Parliament and much more. They have come from a multitude of backgrounds including political and social sciences, history, as well as legal and economic disciplines. As we operate in a multi-language environment, students who seek to improve their language skills are equally welcome.  We do ask a good command of English (reading, writing and speaking), equivalent to  C2 level in the common European framework of reference for languages. We try to match your work for us with your interests.

A stagiaire is someone who is still studying and a stage is part of your final year of educational or academic training. It is based on a contract with your school or university that spells out the learning objectives. A stage can be from 3 to 6 months and we are open to your proposals. We do not offer accommodation or travel costs but might contribute to them following discussion.

We do ask for motivation and dedication.

We do not have space for interns (those who have finished their studies already). We get many unsolicited offers and we accept none. Please do not bother.

If you are interested, please send your CV and a letter of motivation in which you indicate your engagement with trade unions, social movements, environmental organisations, student unions or other relevant experience to: [email protected] to the attention of Mr. Jan Willem Goudriaan
