Public service union UNISON is consulting its members over the possibility of strike action in protest at the government’s plans to abolish the Schools Support Staff Negotiating Body (SSSNB). UNISON sees it as an important step in providing a national pay structure, particularly teaching assistants. The decision has also been condemned by the GMB general union.
