The ABVAKABO and CNV Publieke Zaak trade unions have signed a new collective agreement for workers in the social services, child welfare and nursery sector. The agreement runs from 1 May 2008 to 1 January 2011 and includes pay increases of 2.5% backdated to 1 May this year then 2% on 1 May 2009 and 1 May 2010. There will be lump sum payments of up to €200 on 1 June 2008 and 1 December 2009 while the end-of-year payment in 2009 will be increased by between 2% and 5.5% and then again by between 2.8% and 8.35 in December 2010. There will also be a 1.25% pay increase on 1 January 2009 that will coincide with abolition of the contribution to the “life course” scheme that allows workers to save towards extra leave.

The ABVAKABO and CNV unions have negotiated a new collective agreement covering social workers with the local authority employers' organisation. The agreement runs from 1 January 2006 to 1 November 2007. Pay increases during this period will be 1.1% (backdated to 1.1.06), 1.1% from 1 January 2007 and 0.6% from 1 July 2007. Energy agreement includes 3.2% pay increase for 2011
Energy and services union ver.di has signed a new 19-month collective agreement in the energy sector that covers 30,000 employees, mainly those of the E.ON energy company. There will be a 3.2% increase on 1 June and then 1.7% on 1 June 2012. The increases also apply to apprentices. Ver.di sees the deal as reasonable and in line with other agreements in the sector.
