(26 April 2017) We continue to support your protest. The employer has not been serious and there still is a lack of a concrete and substantial offer that comes close to the workers demands.
Your members like so many other public service workers in Europe deserve a pay increase. The work of nurses, doctors, other workers and medical staff in Kosovo's health institutions needs to be respected and valued.
It is a dignified work to cure people and care for those who are ill, injured and have health issues. Workers in health care need to be well trained and employers and the government should ensure proper working conditions and health and safety. This is a struggle we share across Europe: you in Kosovo and many workers and their unions across Europe.
Like in many other countries, we need adequate and safe staffing levels to ensure workers can deliver the quality care we want for people. Across Europe workers and the unions are standing up for proper care, quality jobs and conditions. Governments need to invest in health and other care to serve the people and make the right to health care a reality.
On behalf of EPSU's 8 million members in 260 trade unions I wish the workers, the union and you much success in tomorrow's demonstration.
