Union members have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a new collective agreement covering 30000 youth service workers. The agreement actually runs from 1 May 2011 for two years and so the sector has been without an updated agreement for a year and there was no pay increase in 2011. There is 2% pay increase from 1 May 2012 and an end-of-year bonus worth 1.6% of annual salary. There will also be an increase in the training budget.

Members of the FNV trade union have voted 93% in favour of the new collective agreement covering workers in provincial councils that was negotiated in June. There will be two main pay increases of 3% from 1 July 2022 and 4% from 1 January 2023. In addition, backdated to 1 January 2022, there will a €75 increase on pay scales and as from 1 July 2022 there has been a minimum monthly salary of €2,184. There is also a one-off flexibility/homeworking allowance of up to €500 gross based on full-time employment and new arrangements for paid parental leave. The agreement covers the period from 1
Members of the FNV trade union voted 73% in favour of a new pensions agreement that slows down the increase in retirement age and allows for faster indexation of pensions. The retirement age will be set at 66 and four months and will rise more slowly. The agreement also takes account of the need for early retirement for arduous work and provides opportunities for the self-employed to access the scheme.
Members of the FNV and CNV have voted in favour of a new collective agreement covering ambulance workers that will run until the end of 2018. The deal was reached at the beginning of November after a campaign of industrial action over several months. There will be basic pay increases of 1.0%, 1.2% and 1.5% in each of the next three years but workers will also benefit by around 1.25% a year from a new way of calculating holiday pay.
