Energy unions welcome three-year agreement on bonuses
The three energy unions - FILCTEM-CGIL, FLAEI-CISL and UILTEC-UIL - are very positive about a new three-year agreement on performance bonuses negotiated with the ENEL energy company. The agreement will see bonus payments increase by 6% overall - 3% in 2019, 2% in 2020 and 1% in 2021. The agreement also resolves some anomalies affecting middle managers and provides better protection for workers whose bonuses might be affected by maternity or paternity leave.
Energy unions address restructuring threat
Four energy trade union in France organised another day of action on 17 December in protest at what they see as major threats to the sector, such as the “Hercule” restructuring plans at EDF, and its public service mission. FNME-CGT, CFE-CGC Énergies, FO Énergie et Mines and FCE-CFDT are concerned that key decisions about the sector are being taken without proper consultation both with the unions and in parliament. National strike to hit ENEL energy company on 8 March
EPSU and PSI have sent solidarity greetings to the three union federations – Filctem-Cgil, Flaei- Cisl and Uiltec – in their dispute with the ENEL energy company. The three unions are planning national strike action on 8 March and began a month-long period of industrial action affecting overtime, travel and changes to working hours on 24 February.
