(14 February 2011) French trade unions organising the justice sector have issued a press release and open letter to French President Sarkozy (attached below) following his recent attacks against the magistrates regarding the case of a young woman’s murder.
The magistrates are currently involved in protest actions in parts of the country calling for more resources and staff to cope with the legal backlog especially in probation services.
