Employers and unions have signed a new two-year agreement covering hospital workers. It runs from 1 January 2006 to 1 February 2008. This year's pay increase will be 1.75%, backdated to April, and the increase next year will be 0.5% from 1 June 2006.

EPSU affiliate OAO reports that a two-year agreement has been negotiated in the state sector with 3.15% for pay over the period. However, state sector pay developments are linked to private sector increases and relatively high increases (12.8%) in the previous three-year agreement means that state sector increases were 1.48% ahead of the private sector. Two-year deal at hospital group
Ver.di has negotiated a new collective agreement at the Helios hospital company which employs around 17,000 workers across Germany. The agreement runs from 1 January 2011 to 31 December 2012 and includes a 2% increase for 2011 (backdated to 1 April) and a 3% increase from 1 May 2012. Increase for doctors are different as they get on average a 3% increase from 1 January 2011 and a 2.4% increase from 1 March 2012. New two-year agreement in voluntary sector
The Kommunal municipal union has negotiated a new two-year collective agreement with the Arbetsgivaralliansen employers' organisation in health and social care. The organisation has around 3000 members employing some 250000 people. The agreement runs from 1 April 2014 to 31 March 2016. The pay increase was negotiated as a flat-rate amount so as not to increase the gap between male-and female -dominated industries. Salaries will be increased by SEK 550 (€60.5) from 1 April 2014 and SEK 600 (€66) from 1 April 2015. Minimum wages will be increased by the same amount and will mean SEK 19720 (€2170
