Affiliates of the CITUB federation organised a national demonstration at the end of May in protest at low pay and restrictions on the right to strike. The demonstration was targeted in particular at the government and employers in the health, energy, local transport and telecommunications sectors.

The PCS public and civil service union has organised industrial action over pay at the Equiniti company which provides pensions payments systems to the NHS. Low pay and minimum wages will be a key debate at this year's EPSU collective bargaining conference. A draft document on this subject has just been circulated to members of EPSU's collective bargaining network, epsucob@. This first draft is only in English but after initial comments a second draft will be translated into several languages and will be circulated to conference participants in November. Confederation to coordinate action on low pay
The member organisations of the CMKOS trade union confederation aim to work together in a campaign to highlight the problem of low pay in the country. CMKOS has called a rally on 16 September in Prague that will be a key step towards coordinated action in 2016. An important aim will be to underline the impact of low wages not just on workers but also to highlight the negative impact on the economy and on productivity. Read more at > CMKOS (CZ)
