The vida services union has collaborated with the Chamber of Labour to produce a guide on outsourcing. The booklet looks at the experience of vida and works council representatives in trying to resist or negotiate over outsourcing. The guide highlights the impact on workers but also emphasises that there is scope for unions to campaign against outsourcing and that often claims about lower costs are either inaccurate or unjustified and also fail to take account of the impact on quality.
