(17 November 2017) In June, a new Right to Energy coalition brought together unions, environmental NGOs, energy cooperatives, ombudsmen and anti-poverty organisations to defend the right to affordable, renewable energy for all Europeans in the 2030 EU energy package, EPSU has been one of the initiators and is an active member.
As the European Parliament gears up to vote on these critical energy files, political groups are joining the effort to support our demands. The transition must benefit the most vulnerable: let's seize the chance to build a better future for all.
For that reason we are co-organising a cross party public event.
The first agenda is:
12:30-13:15 - Ensuring the right to energy for all Europeans
13:15-14:00 - Boosting renovations to fight energy poverty
14:00-14:30 - Including energy poverty in the 2030 Energy package
