This workshop is to develop and coordinate EPSU’s action(s) regarding the European Pillar of Social Rights (EPSR). The EPSR has been proposed by the European Commission (EC) as a tool to rebalance European integration by developing a stronger social dimension. The EPSR is made up of three parts dealing with access to employment, working conditions, and social protection/essential services. A proposal on work-life balance has already been put forward. Currently the EC is actively seeking support for the EPSR from Member States. By early next year we should have a number of proposals (social programme?) from the EC to develop the EPSR. These proposals, plus the work-life balance initiative will be the focus of the workshop.

The course is targeted at EPSU affiliates from EU countries who are interested to develop EPSU’s strategy regarding the EPSR and to influence the European policy makers to achieve the best outcomes.
