The Eurofound research agency has published a new report that analyses how gender pay audits have been implemented in four countries - Austria, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. It is based on company-level gender pay reports and reveals that there have been mixed results in terms of compliance, in the initial phase. It also highlights room for improvement in engaging employee representatives and in raising employees’ awareness.

The 2014 annual report of the European Restructuring Monitor produced by the Eurofound research body focuses in particular on public services noting that net job cuts since the beginning of the crisis now top 800000. The ERM describes this as the "most severe restructuring in Europe for many decades." Audit body alerts Parliament to outsourcing risks
The Audit Tribunal (Tribunal de Cuentas), a public sector financial and economic watchdog, has sent a report to the Spanish parliament highlighting problems creating by outsourcing of government services. The tribunal is particularly concerned at the fact that large numbers of workers employment by private contractors are now proving public services alongside public employees. The tribunal argues that this raises serious questions about how people are appointed and the issue of equal treatment of workers across the public services.
