(7 September 2018) On 31 August and 1 September about 30 participants from 23 European countries gathered in Sofia for the 9th meeting of the EPSU Youth network.
This was the first meeting since the renewal of the network last year in Berlin where a steering committee was elected with the aim of improving the representativity of young workers in EPSU. The debates turned around next year’s EPSU congress and how to increase the participation of more young delegates and observers. The participants also worked on a possible resolution.
The meeting addressed the upcoming European elections which were seen as a great opportunity to do outreach about the network. This was linked to the impact of the network within EPSU and the need to mainstream young workers’ issues throughout the federation. The meeting had the input from ETUC Youth Committee President, Viktoria Nagy and PSI Youth policy officer Cédric Dépollier.
