(11 September 2012)Three topics were on the agenda of the committee:
- Study – David Tarren, Syndex presented the final factsheets on the different countries (and including several non-EU ones) as well as the recommendations as to the organisations to be invited for the final conference 19 November 2012, Brussels. It was agreed that the paper would be given further context in the intro and would be circulated to affiliated organisations for final input. Other European organisations will be asked for their assistance in checking the bodies mentioned.
- Approaching possible organisations The Steering Committee considered a joint approach by social partners to organizations recommended in the aforementioned study to invite them to the Conference
- Conference programme 19 November The conference programme was discussed further and possible speakers were suggested including from the Commission DG Energy as well as DG Employment, organisations of the gas industry, national organisations involved in labour market and skills dialogues and employment observatories.
