Unions sign three-year agreement covering central government

The public service federations – Fp-Cgil, Cisl-Fp and Uil-Pa – have negotiated a three-year agreement covering the period 2018-21 that will see pay rise by between 4.2% and 5.6% with the lower pay scales getting the higher increases. The trade unions have also welcomed changes to the occupational classification system and pay structure, strengthening of relations with trade unions, changes to leave arrangements to help victims of gender-based violence and new rules on smart work and telework.

Unions sign deal covering workers in central administration

The FSC-CCOO and FeSP-UGT public service federations have finally negotiated a new agreement covering 40000 workers in the central state administration. This comes three years after the last agreement and failure of the previous government to negotiate a deal. The new agreement will mean an overall increase of 14% for the lowest paid covering the three years 2018-2020. There are also measures to clarify job classifications and relate them more closely to educational qualifications. Unions sign three-year agreement with government

The three main Spanish public service federations – CCOO, UGT and CSI-CSIF – have signed a new agreement with the government covering 2010-2012. On pay the agreement allows for a 0.3% increase in 2010 but a revision clause in the agreement allows for a higher increase to maintain purchasing power. The agreement includes a number of other measures covering modernisation of the public administration and implementation of elements of the basic law on public employment that was passed in 2007 but not fully put into effect. Three-year agreements in local and central government

Municipal employees are set to get a 5.42% wage increase over the next three years. The FOA public services union sees this as a good deal after the previous two collective agreements that were negotiated under pressure from the economic crisis. The new deal also includes a commitment to negotiate on training, particularly for unskilled workers, and provides more paternity leave. There will also be initiatives to tackle psychosocial risks at the workplace. Meanwhile for the state sector pay will rise by around 6.5% over three years.
