Services union ver.di organised an action day across the Paracelsus health company on 8 March. The company employs 5000 workers in 25 institutions and has been stalling over negotiations of a new agreement. Ver.di has submitted a claim for a 7.5% or at least EUR 150 a month, arguing that employees need to see pay rise to compensate for the sacrifices made in recent years as part of a an agreement to secure the company's future. The union says that the company is profiting from wages that are as much as 25% below equivalent salaries in municipal clinics.

Waste workers take series of actions in support of pay claim
The FNV has been coordinating a series of actions by waste workers in support of its 5% pay claim for the sector. The union says that the employers’ “final” offer on pay is unacceptable as it would mean that some workers would not even see their purchasing power protected. The actions, including drive-in meetings, target different waste companies at different times and are aimed at raising the visibility of the dispute and are in compliance with COVID-19 restrictions.
Union claims widespread support on second day of strike
Public services union UNISON said that the second day of national strike action across local government in England, Wales and Northern Ireland showed the strength of feeling of its members over pay. Union claims broad support for strike action
The STAL trade union reported widespread support for the strike across the public services on 30 May. In some towns nine out of 10 municipal and other state employees joined the action which was organised to protest against government policies on public sector pay and conditions and against privatisation. Workers in refuse disposal, street cleaning, schools, crèches, the fire service, local transport and municipal enterprises were involved in the action, the latest step in a long-running campaign.
