CGT, FO and Solidaires public service unions organised a national day of action calling for pay increases across the public sector. With the index for public service pay frozen, the unions estimate that 5.6 million public sector workers have seen their purchasing power fall by 8%-10%.

Federations protest to support private sector workers providing public services
The Fp-Cgil, Cisl-Fp, Uil-Pa and Uil-Fpl federations have come together to organise a national demonstration on 18 October calling for better treatment of workers from the private and non-profit sectors who provide public services.
