The vida and GPA-djp service unions have negotiated a new collective agreement covering 100000 workers in the private health and social care. The deal includes a 1.35% increase on all pay rates including for apprentices. The agreement also includes specific improvements for childminders, a 5.6% increase on standby rates, harmonisation upwards of allowances for dirty, arduous or dangerous work and other improvements covering childcare institutions and school assistants. The agreement runs from 1 February 2016.

Over 100000 regional government workers join warning strikes
A range of different groups of workers have joined warning strikes in recent weeks in the lead up to the third round of negotiations over a new collective agreement covering 800000 employees in regional government. The ver.di services union, along with teachers (GEW) and police (GdP) are looking for a 5.5% pay increase or minimum €175 in a 12-month agreement. They also want higher pay and more paid leave for trainees. Any agreement would also apply to around 1.2 million civil servants. Private health care workers call for sector-wide agreement
Five workers from the private health sector spoke at the rally on 15 April calling for a new agreement for the sector, 12 years after the last one was signed. The five workers - including nurses, a hospital manager and disability care worker - spoke about the challenges of surviving on pay levels unchanged for more than a decade and in the case of one for 17 years. Along with this they often face increasing work pressures as a result of staff shortages and even have to pay for their own training. New two-year agreements in private health and eldercare
Kommunal and the Almega Vårdföretagarna employers’ organisation have negotiated two new collective agreements for employees working in private health and social care and eldercare both of which run from 1 June 2023 to 31 May 2025. In the private health and social care agreement, the minimum wage will be increased by SEK 1350 (€115) in 2023 and by 3.5% in 2024. The general wage rises will be SEK 1156 (€100) in 2023 and SEK 995 (€85) in 2024. The new minimum salary as of 1 December 2023 will be SEK 21297 (€1830) with a rate of SEK 24013 (€2060) for professionals. These rates will rise to SEK
