After a year of campaigning and in following the threat of industrial action and a boycott, the FOA public services union has signed a collective agreement with the Tinytots private childcare company. The union was very concerned about low pay rates at the company which operates four sites in Copenhagen. There was also evidence of lack of pensions, poor sick leave provision and working time rules. The FOA is now very pleased to be able to negotiate with the company and deal with what would have been a worrying case of social dumping.

The SKTF white-collar union has signed an agreement with the Capio healthcare company giving employees the right to speak out about abuses within the company without fear of being exposed or intimidated. Public sector employees already have this right but with the spread of outsourcing SKTF sees it as very important to secure the same rights for private sector employees and hopes that other companies will follow suit. Union signs deal with private care company
(September 2016) Public services trade union FOA has signed an agreement with the PUK private care company. The company recently joined the KA employers' organisation and the FOA is pleased that the agreement now ensure that PUK employees are covered by the pay and conditions negotiated for the sector, helping to prevent competition on wages. Meanwhile, the union is continuing its campaign against the DK Pleje company which has so far refused to negotiate and is undercutting other care providers.
Unions sign new agreement at energy company
Around 6,700 workers employed by the EDP are now covered by a new collective agreement which covers a range of issues such as ensuring the financial sustainability of social provisions to employees and retired workers, career development, work organisation and health and safety. For the main union, SINDEL, some of the key provisions include: extending the 38-hour work week to all workers; keeping compensatory rest for overtime; payment for night work continues with the addition of 25%; and retaining 24 days' annual leave plus municipal and other holidays.
