The FNME-CGT energy federation organized a national day of action on 22 September to highlight the situation of the employees of sub-contractors in the nuclear sector. The union points out that these workers are facing some of the most serious safety risks in the sector but are missing out on the pay and employment conditions enjoyed by permanent staff. The union has delivered a 10,000-signature petition to the energy minister calling for improved pay and conditions for all sub-contracted workers, arguing also that all the contracted out services should be brought back in-house.

In a case lasting over two years, an employment tribunal has ordered a Polish company, Polimex, to pay €10,000 in compensation to one of its employees. The CGT trade union's mines and energy federation took the case when it discovered the Polish workers employed by an EDF subcontractor working at the Porcheville power station had not received wages to which they were entitled and had put up with poor working and living conditions. Call for better pay offer or better employment conditions
The vida trade union is demanding an improved pay offer for the 15,000 employees in private and non-profit health institutions. The union says that the current offer of 0.9% does not recognise the contribution made by employees but vida also wants to see improvements to employment conditions. It says that employers make excessive demands on employees both at work and being on-call and that there needs to be a much firmer arrangements for employees’ working time and time off.
