All EPSU affiliates are being urged to reply to the questionnaire on equal pay that was sent out earlier this year. This is a vital issue for EPSU with two resolutions passed on the subject at last year’s Congress. So far we have had 14 responses from nine EU Member States and two Eastern European countries. This means we have a long way to go before getting a comprehensive picture of pay inequality and action to close the gender pay gap in the public services.

EPSU has received 31 responses from 18 countries to its equal pay questionnaire. The survey has produced some interesting information on how affiliates are reducing the gender pay gap by taking a range of measures related to pay, promotion, training, leave and flexible working.
