During the plenary meeting of the European Society Works Council (ESWC) on the 23 November with the participation of a EPSU representative the council together with the Group Management Board issued a joint statement.
The demand for care provision is growing due to population aging and, as such, the number of private multinational companies operating in the health and social care (HSS) sector has also grown.
Over the coming weeks and months EPSU will be hosting, participating in and co-organising a series of events and seminars to explain our position on the care sector and to provide a voice to our millions of members in the care sector in public, not-for-profit and private facilities.
On Wednesday 20th April workers’ representatives from the French Multinational ORPEA, affiliated to the European Public Service Union met to discuss the outcome of the first meeting of the European Works Council that has been recently established.
