The Kommunal municipal union has negotiated a new two-year collective agreement with the Arbetsgivaralliansen employers' organisation in health and social care. The organisation has around 3000 members employing some 250000 people. The agreement runs from 1 April 2014 to 31 March 2016. The pay increase was negotiated as a flat-rate amount so as not to increase the gap between male-and female -dominated industries. Salaries will be increased by SEK 550 (€60.5) from 1 April 2014 and SEK 600 (€66) from 1 April 2015. Minimum wages will be increased by the same amount and will mean SEK 19720 (€2170) from 1 April 2014 and SEK 20320 (€2235) as of 1 April 2015 for those aged 19 with a secondary education. There will also be improvements to unsocial hours payments, an additional month of parental leave (now up to six months) and a commitment on the employers to avoid split shifts.

The SEKO services union has agreed a two-year deal with the EFA energy employers’ association that will see salaries increase by 3.7% for the 3,500 workers covered by the agreement. The deal includes setting minimum wages for 18-year-olds but also for skilled workers with two and five years’ experience. The minimum monthly wage for 18-year-olds will be SEK 17288 (€1790) in 2010 rising to SEK 17738 (€1840) in 2011. Read more at > SEKO (SE)

The JHL trade union reports that negotiations have delivered a two-year agreement in the energy sector that runs to 31 March 2025. Employees will get a 3.5% general increase on 1 August this year along with a €415 lump sum paid on 1 July. Next year the general increase will be 2% from 1 June with 0.5% for the local level.
Unions fight for collective agreement in voluntary sector emergency services
The FP-CGIL, CISL-FP and UIL-FPL public service federations are mobilising their members in the Misericordie emergency service provider. The unions are responding to the decision by the religious organisation not to re-negotiate a collective agreement and following the failure of conciliation. The federations are angry that Misericordie is not only failing to acknowledge the sacrifices made by their emergency service workers during the pandemic but are also creating disparities between their workers and others employed in the third sector that are covered by the collective agreement negotiated
