UK - Bringing water into public ownership: costs and benefits

(8 June 2017) England and Wales are the only countries in Europe were the complete water sector has been privatized. New research reveals how much this has cost the users of these services, estimated to be a whopping 2.3 billion pounds (2,65 billion Euros) a year. The study details how shareholders have invested very little money in updating new infrastructure and sucked the companies of funds.
