Over the past 2 years the European Social Partners in the electricity sector, industriAll European Trade Union, the European Public Service Union (EPSU), representing the trade unions and Eureletric, representing the employer organisations have engaged together with Spin360, in the project Skills2Power.

(20 November 2020) Over the past two weeks 27 trade union leaders and officers from 10 unions in Moldova and Romania have taken part in a series of organising and recruitment workshops.

On November 26, workers in the French multinational electric utility companies ENGIE and EDF are mobilising to defend the future of their jobs, the public energy sector and to demand the suspension of the companies’ current restructuring projects.

Like in other constituencies unions were reporting on the impact of the Corona-virus pandemic on their countries.

On October 23rd, the Recruitment and Organising Network and the Youth Network organized a webinar titled "Do young workers really NOT want to join trade unions".

The pandemic is raging in several of the countries in the constituency.

The measures to contain the pandemic are leaving deep traces in the countries of North East Europe even though there are large differences.

On 18 June 20 trade union activists and officers from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Turkey took part in a webinar on organizing and recruitment. It was third online meeting prepared and run by the EPSU’s recruitment and organising team.
