Workers' group of the ILO expresses concerns about situation in Turkey

(3 April 2017) The ILO workers' group raised the situation in Turkey in the ILO Governing Body. It underlines its concerns about the dismissals of public service workers, attacks on trade unions and freedom of media referring to reports of many European and international organisations that have expressed disquiet about how workers are treated. It has argued that holding the European Regional meeting of the ILO in Istanbul in those circumstances is difficult.
