Vote on EPSU-HOSPEEM agreement on prevention from sharp injuries in the hospital and healthcare sector

Further to the meeting of the Executive Committee on 8 June, please find attached the final proposal for a framework agreement between EPSU and HOSPEEM on prevention from medical sharp injuries in the hospital and healthcare sector (version revised visible and version clean).

The agreement has been screened by the European Commission in order to enable it to be transposed into a European directive and thus legally binding in all the member states.

We hereby submit it to you for adoption by written procedure before the 30th of June.

On the basis of the EPSU Procedures and Mandates for the Social Dialogue in the appendix to the constitution, voting on the final result of the negotiations (the actual agreement) will take place on the basis of a 2/3 majority of the votes cast by eligible Executive Members. A quorum is set of 50 % + 1 of the Executive Committee Titular Members.
