The 5th meeting of the Special negotiating body lead to small improvements in the text of the draft agreement. These concerned amongst others the establishment of a procedure of information and consultation in the case of exceptional circumstances (through the bureau or steering committee of the EWC) and additional training opportunities. By and large the results remain behind the expectations of the SNB. Members of the SNB will consult over the results of the agreement. The date of 3 October is set aside for the signing ceremony if agreed.
