The European Federation of Public Service Unions (EPSU) is a pan-European trade union organisation representing workers in local and national administration, health and social services and energy, water and waste sectors. EPSU is a member of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and is the recognised European regional organisation of Public Services International (PSI) our global federation. EPSU advocates for decent work and quality public services for all.

EPSU is recruiting a Project and Administrative Assistant to reinforce our team in Brussels.

Main responsibilities

  • Monitor EC funding for EU and enlargement projects, notably on occupational health and safety, equality, digitalisation and other related labour market issues
  • Compile documentation concerning calls for proposals
  • Assist policy staff to prepare and implement projects (e.g., draft background notes, reports, to monitor, track and disseminate outcomes)
  • Assist with maintaining contacts with project partners and with financial reporting
  • Provide general office support regarding the organisation of EPSU activities and events.
  • Essential requirements
  • Demonstrable interest in social movements / trade union work
  • Experience and/or proven knowledge of project management
  • Excellent spoken and written English (C2). Knowledge of other European languages will be an advantage;
  • Good IT knowledge (Microsoft 365, Mailchimp, CiviCRM, Zoom)
  • Good analytical, organisational and communication skills
  • Able to work in a team and independently

Offer

Permanent contract – full time (35 hours/ week).

The starting salary will be in the range of 2.900 EUR monthly gross salary depending on experience, plus other legal and extra legal benefits according to our collective agreement.
