(10 April 2024) There will be a virtual solidarity meeting with Belarusian trade unionists on 19 April, 9.30 – 11.00, in framework of “the Day of action for trade union rights and democracy in Belarus”. Meeting is organised by ITUC. The link can be found via the article which refers to the circular of ITUC.

This day the union movement commemorates the fight of our brothers and sisters of Belarusian Congress of Democratic Trade Unions (BKDP) for democracy and workers rights, we listen to their stories and share examples of solidarity actions implemented by different unions in their countries in their support.

We reinforce our call for release of all imprisoned unionists and send our solidarity to them, to their relatives, friends, and all victims of repressions in Belarus: we stand with you, we stand with BKDP, we stand with people of Belarus. EPSU has one affiliate in Belarus of the BKDP (SPB- Panacea, for health workers) Four (4) of its leaders and activists are currently in jail.

EPSU affiliate SPB (Panacea) is forbidden to do its work. Four of its leaders and activists are in jail.
