(Brussels, 10 March 2024) On 10 March 2024, the Social Dialogue Committee for central government administrations adopted a position on the Commission's ComPACt initiative aiming to support and deepen cross-border administrative cooperation and enhance the European Administrative Space.
The topics covered by the initiative include the green and digital transitions and good use of EU funds including via the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
The position commits to cooperating with theCommission’s DGReform responsible for designing and implementing public administration reforms not least in the expert group putting together representatives of EU governments charged with public administration.
The Committee strongly believes that a more inclusive approach and close cooperation through social dialogue, both at national and EU levels, would benefit everyone involved. By fostering an open, transparent dialogue, we can better address the challenges ahead, particularly those related to a fair green and digital transition at both national and EU levels as well as encouraging public participation including the engagement of the younger generation for whom the green transition has become vital.
