(23 October 2023) The PSI World Congress discussed the attack of Hamas on Israel and condemned it. It debated the subsequent events and the general situation of the oppressed Palestine people. The Congress representing European unions and unions from across the world adopted an emergency resolution and a general resolution. Many voices were raised in defense of the Palestine people suffering the occupation, the blockade and the sanctions imposed by Israel.  The UN Secretary General has spoken several times for the need for humanitarian aid to reach the Palestinian people in Gaza now and for an end to the occupation.
