The Steering Committee of the EWC of Suez met 4-5 September 2007, Paris. It discussed the new plans for the merger with Gaz de France and especially the proposals to bring the environment division to the stock exchange. It disagrees with this proposal and notes that no social guarantees have been given. It also issued a press release.
Other issues discussed concerned the social reporting of the company, the implementation and follow up of the agreements reached in July, starting with a number of new issues and the preparation of the plenary meeting of the EWC 10 October 2007. The merger will be the main theme of the EWC.
