French multinational care company Korian has signed an agreement to establish a new European Works Council (EWC) in June 2022

(FR ci-dessous)  (5 April 2023) Building on the successful experience of the 1st European works council of Korian, installed in June 2020 and renewed in June 2022, and following the transformation of the company into a European company, the Korian Group has decided, with the support of the EPSU, permanent expert to the European Company Committee, to launch with the works council a negotiation on social dialogue within the Group. The aim is to produce a European Social Dialogue Ethics Charter, coherent with the values of the company and fully in line with the principles of inclusive governance that will be central to the Groups’ status as a "purpose-led company", which was adopted after the general assembly of shareholders in June 2023. The charter must also be a tool for all employees with regards to social relations within the company. To this end, the works council has mandated the EPSU to assist and support it in the preparation and negotiation of this Charter.
