
(16 February 2021) Europe’s union leaders met to discuss the many developments in the EU and Europe. Positions were adopted on:
- People Recovery – an assessment of the Recovery and Resilience Facility
- ETUC response to the consultation on the protection of workers from risks related to the exposure of chemical agents and asbestos at work
- Statement on the New Pact on migration and asylum
- Position of the coup in Myanmar
- Discussion on the future of the ETUC. Affiliates will be asked to respond to a survey, the results of which will play a role on the Mid-Term Conference of the ETUC
- Improving working conditions of platform workers
- Assessment of the EU-China Comprehensive Agreement on Investment
- Statement on the situation in Russia
Updates were given on amongst others:
- EU-UK trade and cooperation agreement
- Conference on the Future of Europe
- Draft directive in adequate minimum wages
The meeting took place 11 February 2021 (online) For EPSU participated vice-Presidents Francoise Geng and Thomas Kattnig and EPSU General Secretary and Deputy General Secretary.
