EPSU/FES South East European Energy Round Table

Dear Colleagues,

European Federation of Public Service Unions and Friedrich-Ebert Stiftung kindly invite you to attend

the 12th South East European Energy Round Table
(Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hotel “Adria Ski”, Čajuša bb, 80320 Kupres)

As usual, the main aim of the meeting is

- informing on South East European Energy Community,
- implementing the Memorandum of Understanding on the Social Aspects of the South East Europe Energy Treaty,
- discussing common trade union strategy regarding energy supply and investments,
- updating on the European social dialogue in the electricity and the gas sector,
- updating on collective bargaining developments,
- preparing trade union standpoints for the next Energy Social Forum,
- planning future activities and trade union co-operation in South East Europe.

It will start on 04 September 2012 at 9,00 in the morning and finish on 05 September 2012 after lunch. Participants are expected to arrive on 03 September 2012 in the afternoon/evening and depart on 05 September 2012 in the afternoon/evening.

We kindly ask you to cooperate with representatives of the Working Group on Collective Bargaining and with Richard Pond from EPSU ([email protected]) to get an overview of trends and developments on pay, working time and conditions.

According to the conference capacity limits we invite 2 representatives of each trade union (the List of Invited Trade Unions is enclosed).

Organisers will arrange hotel services (accommodation, food, meeting room, technical equipment) and the interpretation. According to financial possibilities some travel costs could be reimbursed as well but country delegations are requested to travel together by cars.

Please note that financial assistance will be granted only to unions that are in order with their PSI/EPSU affiliation fees including for 2012.

Simultaneous interpretation will be provided from the local language (Bosnian) and English. The delegations that need other language are requested to bring their own interpreter speaking Bosnian or English for consecutive translation into their languages. Please let us know if you have any problems with this arrangement.

Please confirm participation of your representatives to the EPSU Regional Office in Prague by returning the attached participation form by e-mail as soon as possible (by 31 July 2012 at the latest).
