EPSU joins workers on the streets of Tbilisi for higher minimum wage and progressive taxation on 1 May

(2 May 2023) The Georgian unions celebrated 1 May with a march in the capital Tbilisi on 1st May. The unions demanded higher minimum wages. The country has extremely low minimum wages. And they want progressive and fairer taxation. The country has a very low flat tax. This leads to underfunding of public services such as health and of social protection. EPSU supported the demands of the unions.
