(17 May 2016) Today, the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia 2016, EPSU expresses its solidarity with all members of the LGBTI community. This year’s theme is mental health and well being. Global attitudes to LGBTI individuals have come a long way in recent years, but the fight for equality in the workplace and beyond still has a long way to go. No person should experience discrimination, intimidation or be marginalised in the workplace due to their gender identity or sexuality, and ensuring the equal treatment, respect and safety for all workers is a core part of EPSU’s work. Solidarity with the LGBTI community today, and every day of the year.
