(22 November 2021) On 15th November members from different organisations gathered at the Place Schuman to participate in a protest organised by the ETUC calling for a just Directive on Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence (CSDD).

The protest comes as the Council examines the CSDD Directive text – a text that notably fails to include workers and trade unions. EPSU echoes and supports the ETUC’s call for a Directive that regulates business conduct for all companies and the entire supply chain.

In particular, we consider trade unions’ and workers’ rights as a fundamental part of human rights and therefore ask for their inclusion in the Directive to safeguard human rights in all the labour sectors and guarantee the respect of business responsibility.
