Putting EU commercial policy in its place: The Protection and Role of Public Services in Bilateral Free Trade Agreements
We are pleased to invite you to a seminar on 7 November organised jointly by the European Federation of Public Services Unions (EPSU), the Austrian trade union federation (ÖGB) and Austrian Federal Chamber of Labour (AK) on how public services are dealt with and impacted by trade agreements. This question has surfaced prominently in the current EU Canada trade negotiations. At the seminar we will present a new study carried on behalf of EPSU and the AK by Markus Krajewski University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, and we hope to have a lively exchange on the issues raised, including with representatives from civil society, the European Commission and the European Parliament.
