Pensions: prime pillar of social Europe (16 June 2004)

Secure state and occupational pensions as one of the prime pillars of a social Europe was reaffirmed at the European Federation of Public Service Unions’ (EPSU) Congress in Stockholm today.
This was by means of a Resolution (R.3.) on pensions, upholding the principle of secure state and occupational pensions. This poison on pensions has the weight of eight million European public service workers and citizens behind it.

Irish Presidency pledge to defend EPSU interests on eve of Constitution debate (16 June 2004)

On the eve of a crucial meeting of European Union (EU) leaders, the Irish EU Presidency pledged to the European Federation of Public service Unions (EPSU) that public services and basic rights would not be “diminished.”
Dick Roche, the Irish Minister for European Affairs, one of the Irish EU Presidency’s key figures, gave this undertaking at EPSU’s four yearly Congress in Stockholm today (16 June).

Public Service Unions united against EU Bolkestein Directive (16 June 2004)

European Commission member, Fritz Bolkestein has united the eight million public service workers represented by the European Federation of Public Service Unions (EPSU), against his controversial draft law.
